What are hydrodilatation/ high volume injections?

Hydrodilatation, also known as high volume injection, is a treatment designed to relieve the symptoms of frozen shoulder. The procedure involves injecting a dose of saline, local anaesthetic and a small does of corticosteroid into the shoulder joint. The combination aims to expand the joint capsule, reducing stiffness and improving mobility.
