The Smart Clinics are now part of Bupa

As a leading health care provider, we've worked closely with The Smart Clinics for nearly a decade. Since 2014, we have provided Bupa Health Assessments at their Kensington and Wandsworth clinics and most recently, at their Chelsea and Clapham Junction practices.

We will continue to provide The Smart Clinics' enhanced services. This includes access to expert consultants, dentists, and the Smart Membership programme.

You can expect the same level of excellent care from both Bupa and The Smart Clinics. Together, we meet our mission of helping our customers live longer, healthier, happier lives.

Why am I being redirected?

As of December 2023, The Smart Clinics is now part of the Bupa group.

Smart Clinics FAQs

No. You will not automatically be enrolled into a Bupa health insurance plan.

Your membership is still the annual subscription package you took out with Smart Clinics (either medical, dental or combined) and this will continue for acquired Smart Clinics London centres.

You can book a Bupa health assessment online via our booking tool, over the phone on 0330 134 5350^, or in person at either our Clapham, Chelsea, Wandsworth or South Kensington clinics. Lines are open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 8pm. Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm.

For any other service, whether it be a one-off appointment or membership plan, you can book in person at any of our four clinics, or over the phone on 020 7052 007^. Lines are open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm.

If less than 24 hours' notice is provided you will be asked to pay in full for any missed or cancelled appointments.

Members will be charged £50 in respect of any GP appointment and full value for any other practitioner appointment for which they do not attend the Clinic without at least 24 hours' notice of cancellation or rearrangement to the Clinic.

Non-members will be charged full price for any GP or other healthcare appointments that are missed or not cancelled 24 hours prior to their appointment.

You'll be informed of any changes or actions you need to take.

If you are an existing member you may however, need to set up a new direct debit and the name on your direct debit payment will change. We'll inform you when this is due to happen and any actions you need to take.

No. Health Assessments can still be booked online via our booking tool over the phone on 0330 134 5350^, or in person at either our Clapham, Chelsea, Wandsworth or South Kensington clinics. Lines are open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm. Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm.

Any other one-off appointments will continue to be booked in person at one of the above clinics or over the phone on 020 7052 007^. Lines are open Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm. Both medical and dental memberships are payable annually in advance by Direct Debit, credit/debit card or BACS transfer. After the 12 month period, a monthly Direct Debit service can be set up.

Discounts apply for second and subsequent children.

Medical Member

The Medical Membership scheme is designed for regular users of Clinic services and is structured so as to provide a predictable and fixed cost spread across a year irrespective of the use members make of the Clinic s services. Medical Members each receive an Annual Standard Health check and then may make unlimited use of the following Clinic services at no extra charge:

  • GP face to face consultation
  • Video and telephone consultation
  • Prescription completion (not including the cost of actual medication)
  • Repeat prescriptions (not including the cost of actual medication)
  • Completion of forms and letter
  • Attendance at Health and Wellbeing seminars and lectures

Dental Member

The Dental Membership plan provides Members with a predictable and fixed cost spread across a year for their dental check-up and dental hygiene requirements. Dental Members may access the following Clinic services at no extra charge:

  • One annual Dental check-up with X-rays
  • Two Dental hygienist appointments per annum
  • 20% off all routine dental treatment
  • 20% off implant and porcelain treatment
  • Discounted Teeth Whitening Kits

Combined Member

The Combined Membership scheme/plan provides Members with the benefits of both the Medical and the Dental Membership plans.
