Dental care for all the family
Our health insurance includes one Bupa Dental Care appointment every year, for everyone covered, including children. You can use your appointment for a new patient or routine check-up. Or for an emergency appointment
After your appointment you'll get a £300 allowance towards restorative treatment. This covers things like crowns or fillings.
Whatever the mental health condition, we’ll be there
If you develop a new mental health condition during your policy, we re here. When it comes to your wellbeing, we cover more mental health conditions than any other leading UK insurer†. We're proud to offer a number of support options, so you can get the right help, for you.
Direct care, for symptoms that won’t wait
If you have symptoms related to cancer, mental health or muscles, bones and joints our Direct Access service is here for you. We'll check your symptoms over the phone and offer guidance on your next steps. We may be able to refer you to a specialist too.
Any onward referrals for consultations, tests or treatment are subject to the benefits and exclusions of your cover.
Our cancer promise
If you have cancer symptoms that start after your policy begins, call us directly. And if appropriate, we can refer you to a consultant right away.
Our full cancer cover means there are no time limits and all of your eligible costs are covered. Just use a hospital or health centre from our network and a consultant that we recognise who charges within our limits. As long as you have cancer cover with your policy, we’ll be with you from diagnosis to treatment.
This is our promise to you.
Savings for couples
Couples pay 5% less for a joint policy compared to the price of two separate policies. Both people covered must live at the same address.
The couple offer applies to our Comprehensive and Treatment and Care policies. We may remove or change these offers when you renew.
Cover for the whole family
Families pay 10% less for a joint policy compared to the price of separate policies for each family member. The cover must include at least one adult and one or more children.
You can also add more than one child under 20 years old to your policy and you'll only pay for the eldest child. No matter how many more children you add. You’ll still receive the 10% family discount, too.

Health insurance is an insurance policy that covers the costs of private healthcare. It can also be called private medical insurance. And it can cover you from diagnosis to treatment.
You'll pay a monthly or annual premium for your policy. This will then cover all or some of the cost of any treatment that you need, as long as your treatment is covered by your policy.
Most health insurance covers conditions that develop after your policy has begun. You won’t usually have cover for conditions you already had.
We'll cover you for acute conditions after your policy starts. This covers disease, injury or illness that will likely respond quickly to treatment. Conditions you had before your policy started, known as pre-existing conditions, may not be covered.
Where we treat you may depend on the type of treatment you need and where you live. You may be treated in a private hospital, health centre or private section of an NHS hospital. This will all depend on if your treatment is eligible, is fee assured and there's a hospital within your chosen network.
Some things aren’t covered as standard in our health insurance policies. For example, most policies don't cover emergency treatment, maternity care or conditions you had before your policy started.
When you take out a policy, we may need to know about any conditions or symptoms you have. This depends on the type of underwriting you choose.
Though we don’t cover conditions you had before your policy starts, we can still support you. You can chat to a nurse any time of day or night on the Anytime HealthLine. Or, speak to a doctor with a virtual appointment.
