Sustainable healthcare
Transforming healthcare for a greener tomorrow.
Working with others across the sector to design environmental sustainability into the healthcare system to speed up progress towards net zero.
We’ve developed a roadmap for organisations involved in healthcare
The healthcare sector has always aimed to do no harm.
With the accelerating climate crisis, this now means doing no harm to our planet. We cannot have healthy people without a healthy planet.
Across our sector, there’s an appetite to reach net zero. This will require collaboration between healthcare organisations, involving every stakeholder, from management to patients.
By taking the necessary steps to transform healthcare today, we can believe in the possibility of a greener tomorrow.

“The healthcare sector has always aimed to do no harm. With the accelerating climate crisis, this now means doing no harm to our environment.
“Across our sector, there’s a clear appetite for change – but words and intent must now turn into collaboration and positive action. Sustainability is a team sport, with a shared prize, and joining forces is the only way to accelerate progress towards net zero.”
