Kerrie, Leeds Customer Care Team, who are we?
Helping our residents to lead the fullest lives possible
Wingham Court is a warm, friendly and caring home set in a triangle between Esher, Surbiton and Epsom in Surrey. There’s a lively atmosphere with lots to do and plenty of places to go.
“The whole team work very hard at Wingham Court to make sure our residents feel comfortable, relaxed and at home. We have our own mini bus, so our residents can enjoy the large range of activities outside of the home as well as the daily activities on offer in our home. Our Therapy team provide in house Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy in our fully equipped Gym.”
Claire Hooper - Home manager at Wingham Court

Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
The home has a bright, pleasing décor, with all areas carefully planned around the needs of wheelchair users. There’s even an area for practising independent living.
Physiotherapy gym
Drop by our on-site therapy team who offer slow-stream rehabilitation, ideal for helping to prevent secondary injuries and maintaining mobility.

Lots of outdoor activity
We have two LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) registered tennis courts as well as raised beds so those in wheelchairs can do a bit of gardening.

Personalised bedrooms
Residents can personalise their rooms with posters, consoles and small pieces of furniture. Some rooms have patio doors leading to a small garden plot, which residents can tend.

There’s no typical day at Wingham Court, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Our own minibus for trips out
We have lots of outings to sports matches, concerts, theatres, art galleries, pubs, the seaside, nearby attractions or just shopping.

Encouraging a wide range of interests
With an extensive activities programme which is resident led there is always plenty to do.

Active fun
We encourage residents to participate in Zumba, tai chi, tennis, boccia to keep healthy.

“People and relatives told us that staff were kind, caring and respectful towards them. We saw examples of this during the inspection. People were supported and encouraged to remain as independent as possible and were involved in decisions around their care. There were times where people felt that staff went above and beyond what was expected of them and appreciative of this.”
