Kerrie, Leeds Customer Care Team, who are we?
Helping our residents to lead the fullest lives possible
Wingham Court is a warm, friendly and caring home set in a triangle between Esher, Surbiton and Epsom in Surrey. There’s a lively atmosphere with lots to do and plenty of places to go.
“The team at Wingham Court Care Home work incredibly hard to make the residents feel safe and cared for. The staff take pride in the work they do and care very much for all our residents. We are like a big family here!”
Claire Hooper - Home manager at Wingham Court

Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
This home has recently been refurbished and has a bright, pleasing décor, with all areas carefully planned around the needs of wheelchair users. There’s even an area for practising independent living.
Physiotherapy gym
Drop by our on-site therapy team who offer slow-stream rehabilitation, ideal for helping to prevent secondary injuries and maintaining mobility.

Lots of outdoor activity
We have a six-a-side pitch, bowling green and two LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) registered tennis courts as well as raised beds so those in wheelchairs can do a bit of gardening.

Personalised bedrooms
Residents can personalise their rooms with posters, consoles and small pieces of furniture. Some rooms have patio doors leading to a small garden plot, which residents can tend.

There’s no typical day at Wingham Court, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Our own minibus for trips out
We have lots of outings to sports matches, concerts, theatres, art galleries, pubs, the seaside, nearby attractions or just shopping.

Encouraging a wide range of interests
We hold discussion groups, movies and documentaries, reading, and gardening groups to ensure there is plenty to do.

Active fun
We encourage residents to participate in Zumba, tai chi, tennis, boccia, and six-a-side to keep healthy.

“People and relatives told us that staff were kind, caring and respectful towards them. We saw examples of this during the inspection. People were supported and encouraged to remain as independent as possible and were involved in decisions around their care. There were times where people felt that staff went above and beyond what was expected of them and appreciative of this.”
"There is always a loving and friendly atmosphere at Wingham Court. All staff including physios, housekeeping, admin etc as well as care staff are supportive of residents and visitors. Facilities include large ensuite rooms and a very large well kept garden. A tennis court attracts the local community so Wingham is part of it. My friend is obviously happy with the care. He enjoys trips out fishing, seaside etc."

"My friend has been in Wingham for several years. He is very well looked after. The staff are welcoming and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. The home is clean and tidy. I often go for walks with my friend in the lovely gardens. Thank you to all at the home. The home is very well managed."
