A bustling community for 18-70 year olds
With a busy atmosphere and lots of social spaces, Wingham Court offers expert neurological rehabilitation and complex care for adults from across the UK. Our care home supports those living with multiple sclerosis, acquired brain injury as well as spinal injuries and strokes.
Watch our video to meet one of our residents, Kenny Mathai, and learn more about life at Wingham Court. Kenny had a brain aneurysm rupture and spent two years recovering at Wingham Court. After successful rehabilitation, Kenny was able to return home to his wife and children.
My name is Naomi Roslee.
I'm the wife of Kenny Mathai.
My husband had a brain aneurysm rupture while sitting in a chair.
I was told, it was very unlikely for him to survive.
But he has.
Wingham has been incredible since the moment Kenny got here.
Basically Wingham Court, it feels like our Wingham family.
It’s what we like to say.
I'm personally very proud of him, I’m proud of his family.
And I'm proud of our care home.
We fought a lot for him.
We saw his potential, and we never gave up.
And today, I'm very proud of being part of this.
But at the same time, I feel, I might feel a bit empty after all this time seeing him daily, working with him.
I’d like to carry on seeing his journey because I think he's got a great future ahead.
Our hope for the future is very, you know, it's very much like, let's just be together.
Let's be together!
Let's build some memories together, And the rest will fall into place like it has done.
