Specialist Centres for bowel cancer make it easier for you to access a diagnosis and get treatment. At such a worrying time, this can help give you the peace of mind you need. We've partnered with leading independent hospitals that meet strict quality criteria. This includes meeting a Care Quality Commission rating of ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’.
At a Specialist Centre, you can get all your initial diagnostic tests and the all-clear in one place, in one day. If you have Bupa insurance, we can arrange an appointment in just four working days from calling in. This allows time for the Centre to post you medicines for you to take before your appointment.
If you need more tests, we'll do these on the same day. Your results will then be with you in an additional two working days. If it is cancer, Specialist Centres commit to starting your treatment within 31 days.

One of our trained advisers will take you through an assessment using national clinical guidance to advise you on your next steps. Depending on your cover and the nature of your symptoms, this could include referring you for an appointment with a consultant.

You’ll have support from both the hospital cancer nurse specialist and our cancer and mental health teams. You’ll also have access to our cancer survivorship programme. This can help you with your diet, exercise and mental health.
