Meet Richard

Sharing the power of sport
Born needing a double through-knee amputation, Richard’s parents encouraged him from a young age to take up sports and to live a life without limits. He never looked back.
From his first world title and gold in 2012 to record breaking "wins at Tokyo 2020", Richard Whitehead MBE is a decorated Paralympian. He believes that sport has the ability to unite people and create joy – and its benefits should never be underestimated.

Our #TeamHealth mentor
Seeing sport as the great unifier and leveller, Richard now uses his time and profile to encourage all kinds of different people to have greater belief in themselves.
This passion and outlook makes him the perfect #TeamHealth mentor. He’ll use his knowledge and experience to coach and support both Emmanuel and Julie on their individual journeys to health and happiness.
