Specialist Centres for breast cancer
For uniting healthcare leaders against breast cancer
Not knowing whether your symptoms are cancer can be extremely worrying. That’s why we’ve joined forces with leading independent hospitals, to take away as much of the uncertainty as soon as possible.
We have partnered with leading independent hospitals to develop standards for Specialist Centres for breast cancer. These centres in London and Manchester, with more centres planned to launch in other regions, are committed to giving you the all-clear or all your initial diagnostic tests – if you’re covered by Bupa insurance then this will be just two working days after you call to arrange your appointment.
And if it’s cancer, you’ll have immediate access to a specialist cancer nurse followed by a treatment plan.
If you’re worried you might have cancer and you’re already a Bupa customer, you can call our Cancer Direct Access† service on 0800 012 1305^ and speak to someone about your symptoms. Our trained advisers will take you through an assessment over the phone using national clinical guidance to advise you on your next steps. Depending on your cover and the nature of your symptoms, this could include referring you for an appointment with a consultant there and then.
