A local Hertfordshire care home, Bupa Hill House in Elstree, have set up their own toddler group sessions in a bid to mix the generations.

The group from Tots and Scholars Nursery visit the home monthly and take part in a range of activities, including garden parties, arts and crafts, discos and seasonal concerts.

Staff at Hill House have seen the positive impact that the visits are having on both the residents and the children, who have now formed a special bond.

General Manager, Ben Domah, said: “These sessions are a wonderful opportunity to bring the generations together. Being around little ones brings so much joy to everyone at the home, and we are always looking to do more activities like this.”

The care home also hosted a Summer Fete where the little ones performed a song and dance for the residents to enjoy. Cllr, Alan Plancey and his wife Miriam Plancey, presented a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of Hill House to the nursery as a token of their thanks.

Bupa Hill House Care Home is purpose-built and welcomes anyone in need of nursing or residential care. Residents are offered a full programme of regular and seasonal activities, as well as 24-hour access to highly trained medical and care staff.
