How much does an implant cost?: Dr Steve Preddy, Dentist
Dental implants are largely made of titanium. They're usually a replacement for a tooth that has to be extracted, or sometimes a tooth has been extracted previously. Depending on why the implant is being placed, and where it is in the mouth - and its treatment complexity - that's quite a variation in cost.
The implant itself, quite strictly speaking, would possibly be a thousand to fifteen hundred pounds, as a starting price, but then what's often not understood is then there is a further cost to actually restore an implant. So many cases where people see advertisements, which will say 'from a thousand pounds', but that often doesn't give the whole cost of the implant.
