Should I brush my dentures?: Mohinder Sira, Dental hygienist
Yes, only because, like teeth, you're wearing dentures all the time, there's plaque, bacteria, in our mouths, everywhere.
So any retentive area, like dentures, it will collect. So taking your dentures out after you've had a meal, last thing at night, give them a clean.
Just a gentle brush - soap and water is good enough - or a little bit of your toothpaste, so it keeps it clean and keeps the bacteria off.
