Iona joined the Dietetic Team at the Cromwell Hospital in May 2022, where she predominantly works in the critical care setting.
Iona graduated from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh in 2018 with a BSc in Dietetics. Since leaving university, Iona has developed her practice in the NHS, covering a wide variety of specialties, gaining experience across medical, surgical and chronic conditions.
Iona transitioned from NHS to private work in May 2022 joining the hospital as a specialist dietitian in critical care and gastroenterology. FODMAP trained, Iona works with patients in IBS, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease and other gastrointestinal disorders.
Outside, she is an active member of the British Dietetic Association and keeps up to date attending CPD events throughout the year. Iona also spends time critically reviewing articles and publications in nutrition. You will see work from Iona in Bupa Healthy Me published articles.
Earlier this year Iona featured on Bupa Inside Health discussing gut health with Dr Zoe Williams.
Iona is also a keen runner, completing half marathons throughout the year with an upcoming marathon in May which has developed her interest in nutrition.
