Why choose Bupa’s private GP services?

  • You don’t need to be a Bupa member to book a private GP appointment.
  • If it’s urgent, you can often see a GP on the same day or the very next day.
  • Our GP can write you a private prescription.
  • If a GP can’t help with your skin condition, we can refer you to a private dermatologist for a face-to-face consultation. During a usual consultation, your skin will be examined and, if needed, you’ll have some tests to help with your diagnosis.
  • Our trusted service is completely confidential and secure.
  • If required, the GP can issue a digital prescription, the medication can then be delivered to your chosen address or collected from a pharmacy.

What’s next?

^ We may record or monitor our calls.

The cost of issuing a prescription is included in your appointment fee, but you'll need to pay for the medication at the pharmacy of your choice. This cost is not a flat fee and will vary according to the medication you've been prescribed, and may also vary between pharmacies.
