Can you get affordable health insurance if you’re self employed?

When you’re self-employed you may be eligible to deduct the premiums you pay for certain benefits (including health insurance) as it can be classed as a business expense and therefore eligible for tax relief.

If you qualify, the deduction for your self-employed health insurance premium is a valuable tax break, helping you pay a portion of your health insurance premium – saving you money.

What are the alternatives to health insurance?

If you’re on a budget or have a low income you may still be able to access pay-as-you-go private healthcare.

You won’t need to make monthly payments. You just pay for the care you need, when you need it, or choose to use the NHS.
